For years

Been submerged

And suppressed

The sea of failures

And upsets

Hidden and caged

For so long

The fire never

Fully died out

It laid

Dormant

Waiting for the opportunity

To rise above

Before a spark

Was lit

A fire

Burning anew

Atop a wellspring of creativity
